Multimedia
Multimedia involves the combination of a number of different methods of communicating information.

A multimedia presentation may involve:

  • text
  • graphics
  • animation
  • video
  • sound

Multimedia presentations are good for communicating information because...

  • they are interesting for the audience.
  • they are more understandable - diagrams and pictures can be more meaningful than lots of text.
  • the information is more likely to be remembered.

Multimedia presentations are used to communicate information to an audience.
Some multimedia presentations are used to accompany a spoken lecture, but some have a sound track so people can use them independently.
