	Multimedia involves the combination of a number of different methods of communicating information. A multimedia presentation may involve: text graphics animation video sound Multimedia presentations are good for communicating information because... they are interesting for the audience. they are more understandable - diagrams and pictures can be more meaningful than lots of text. the information is more likely to be remembered.
		Multimedia presentations are used to communicate information to an audience.
	Some multimedia presentations are used to accompany a spoken lecture, but some have a sound track so people can use them independently.
