As the acronym suggests there are numerous types of conditions that sit within the term Autism Spectrum Disorders and below are some of the organisations and charities that represent and/or try to help people with these conditions:

- are the leading UK charity for people on the autism spectrum (including Asperger syndrome) and their families. We provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism. -

Supports people who have difficulties talking and understanding language.

SNAP Cymru provides information, advice and support for parents, children and young people who have, or may have, special educational needs or disabilities.
Their advice is impartial, confidential and free and is provided through their helpline and specialist casework service.
