    Student Union

The Student Union is run by the students, for the students. Our role is to make sure that student voices are heard at senior management level, engaging students from across the colleges, and creating an inclusive and friendly student community.

What does the Student Union do?

  • What does the Student Union do?

    • student union officers on a field trip in Spain, 2018The Student Union is designed to represent the voices of the students, and to engage students across all the campuses in socialising and creating a community feeling. We hope to hold events to bring students together and make an atmosphere – more than just an education, a lifestyle.

The Student Union is there to:

      • Represent all students at NPTC Group of Colleges
      • Listen to your your feedback on how to make the College better
      • Report student concerns to senior management and lobby to make changes
      • Hold events and campaigns for students all year round
      • Create projects and campaigns designed to improve the College experience for students
      • Campaign for student rights
      • Help you access the advice and support you need
      • Help you meet new people

If you have any complaints/concerns, want to share some feedback, or have an issue that you're passionate about, the Student Union is here for you. Contact us at student-union@nptcgroup.ac.uk for a chat.

Once a year the Student Union holds elections on all campuses, where any student can run for a Student Union officer role. All Student Union officers are voted in by the student body - the candidate with the most votes is elected into that role for the next academic year. Find out more on our Elections page.
