    • To explore the operating symptoms: noise, overheating, vibration 
    • To inspect the symptoms of coupling wear: breakage, wear, cracking
    • To determine the causes of failure: wear, out of alignment, vibration, contamination, overload

      Activity 3

      Please split into groups of 3-4. Using the learning materials and videos above, I want you as a group, to produce a PowerPoint on how to align a solid coupling up. The slide needs to be a maximum of 10 slides and must contain images and text size of at least 24. This needs to be explained in a way that someone with none or little experience in engineering can successfully align two couplings together. Don't forget to include tools and equipment needed. You have 30 mins to do this as a group and then present for no more than 5 mins.
