      Learning Objectives:

      • To identify the types and function of bearings
      • To recognise and discuss bearing materials
      • To examine the causes of bearing failure
      • To demonstrate the methods involved in mounting and removing bearings
      • To dismantle and reassemble a mechanical system that involves bearing removal, inspection and replacement
