- Monitoring/progress/attendance
- Tutorial/Pastoral Care & support for the learners

- Recruitment & initial assessment
- Course marketing

The role of the Teacher
|
Planning and delivery of assigned units/modules:
- Liaison with Course Tutor to plan and prepare teaching/feedback on learners' progress
- Positive Classroom Management
- Complete tracking and assessment processes

The role of the Learning Coach
|
Supporting learners identified as being 'at risk' not to achieve their qualificaitons either through:
- a 'one off' session
- a series of sessions
|
The role of the LSA
|
Either working with a group or individual learner:
- To take notes in practical sessions to be used in theory sessions
- To complete relevant reports/paperwork
- To support learners with handouts/worksheets-reading and explaining where necessary
- Adapt resources to meet learner's needs
- To be an extra pair of eyes in relation to health & safety issues
- Supervise small group work directed by the tutor
- Feedback to course tutor/Learning Support Co-ordinator on learner issues
- Support learners who have fallen behind with their work
- They are NOT just there for photocopying!!
