How do I embed a You Tube video on my course page?

1. Go to You Tube and find the video clip you would like to embed.
   
2. Click on Share
   
3. Click on embed
   
4. Copy the embed code.
   
5. In moodle, turn editing on.
   
6. Click on add an activity or resource
   
7. Choose text and media area from the activities / resource list.
   
8. Click add.
9. Click on the Toggle Toolbar icon to expand the toolbar options.
10. Click on the HTML icon 
    
11. Paste the code into the html box.*
    
12. Click update
    
13. Click save and return to course.

*You can change the size of the video on the course page by changing the dimension figures in the html code.

NB You can also follow the instructions above to embed a video into a page resource in your moodle course.

How do I add a web link to my course page?

1. In your course page, turn editing on.
   
2. Click on add an activity or resource.
   
3. Choose URL from the activity / resource list.
   
4. Click add.
   
5. Enter the name for your web link
   
6. Type the web address (or paste a link you have copied) into the External URL box.
   
7. Click appearance.
   
8. Change the display to "in pop up"
   
9. Click save and return to course.
