LGBT History Month 2019 @ NPTC Group
What is LGBT History Month?
LGBT History Month aims to increase the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, raise awareness of the challenges that LGBT+people still face, and call for everyone to contribute to an LGBT+ inclusive society.
It is celebrated every February, to commemorate the 2003 abolition of Section 28, a law introduced in 1988 that banned schools and colleges from portraying homosexuality in a positive light.
NPTC Group Events
To celebrate LGBT History Month, we will be holding drop-in awareness-raising sessions for students:

All college libraries also have LGBT History Month displays up until 22nd February, and the LGBT Pride rainbow flags are being flown over every college.
Please share this information with your students and encourage them to attend if interested.
