    Student Union Election

     Student Union Officer nominations will be open from Monday 23rd September until Friday 4th October

    There are up to 20 roles available which will form our next student union executive committee:

     President, Higher Education Officer Inclusion Officer Vice President, 8 x Campus Officers (1 per campus), Finance Officer (Learner must be aged 18 by 1/07/24 to apply), Secretary, Events Officer North, Events Officer South, Marketing Officer, Sports Officer, Societies Officer, Education Officer

    As in previous years, the roles of President, HE Officer and Inclusion Officer will be paid as they will also occupy the role of wellbeing ambassadors.  This year however, we have also received additional funding to compensate other elected roles throughout the committee.

    Student Union experience is an excellent way to enhance your CV and your UCAS application, making you stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs. In today’s highly competitive job market, qualifications aren’t always enough. Experience as a Student Union Officer can give you the edge over other job applicants.

    Experience

    You will gain experience of attending meetings, managing budgets, communicating and leading people, running campaigns, project management, working with a wide range of people, decision-making, being creative, working to deadlines, and showing determination. You will learn how to build networks, work as a team and achieve great things together.

    The Student Union is supported by the Senior Student Involvement Wellbeing and Inclusion Officer, who will work with you to provide you with the training and guidance you need to thrive. You will have access to free training and development opportunities in a friendly and encouraging environment, where you will be supported to succeed in your role.
