Welcome everyone,

this is a first year BA/HND/HNC International Tourism and Events Management and Hospitality Management and the Culinary Arts marketing module designed to allow students to achieve a clear understanding of the basics of marketing and apply to real life marketing situations in tourism, events, hospitality and the culinary arts using both domestic and international approaches.

You will use your marketing knowledge and understanding in other modules such as events, Organisational Consultancy, Tourism and Events Destinations, Work Experience, International Tour Operations and Contemporary Themes and the development of Niche Markets.

This year, you will be studying the module throughout the year on a Tuesday morning using a blended approach ie for some lectures you will be in college, for others we will meet on-line.  Lectures will consist of :formal teaching, activity work and feedback to ensure you have understood the topic under discussion.

Marketing is central to all business operations and strategy and is a fascinating area of study that allows you to be creative as well as appropriately business-like in your approach to tourism, events and hospitality.
