The philosophy behind the qualification is that anyone wishing to work within the hospitality industry needs to have a sound foundation of high quality skills and be able to apply these skills across a range of processes and commodities within the hospitality and catering industry.

The programme is designed for new students who have little or no experience of the Catering industry enabling them to progress to higher qualifications or entry into the industry.
