The VTCT VRQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is a Full-time Further Education course designed for students who are interested in a career as a hairdresser within the hairdressing and applied therapies industry.

We work in collaboration with Lee Stafford Education.  You will learn specifically designed ‘recipes’ which are unique to Lee Stafford Education, reflecting some of the most cutting-edge styles seen in salons across the UK.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills to an advanced level through a variety of techniques in the following units; the creative art of cutting women’s hair, the artistic skill of Colouring, imaginative dexterity of styling and dressing hair, and how to provide effective consultation support for colleagues.

To develop your skills further you will also be given the opportunity to showcase the creative skill of hairdressing design, bridal hairstyling and the technical colour unit.

Assessment methods include observation of practical work, written assignments, oral questioning and online end of unit tests. Learners will be required to bring clients to commercial classes for assessments.

Additionally, you will have homework to complete which includes compiling a portfolio of evidence, completing workbooks and practising skills.

Students are encouraged to enter Lee Stafford competitions, Inspiring Skills Wales and World Skills competitions that further challenge and improve specialised skills.
